Battery storage
Use more of your solar after the sun goes down. We design home battery storage around your electricity use, existing equipment and the loads you want to support.
- Local electricians
- Tailored advice
- Ongoing support
Start with your usage
A useful battery is one you can charge and regularly use. We look at your daytime solar surplus, evening demand, tariff and any future changes such as an EV or air conditioning.
Usable capacity describes stored energy. Inverter output describes how much power the system can supply at once. Both matter, and a capacity figure alone cannot tell you which appliances the system can run.
New solar or an existing system
A battery can be considered alongside new solar or as an addition to an existing installation. A retrofit starts with identifying your inverter, solar size and switchboard arrangement.
- Check existing equipment and compatibility
- Choose a suitable, compliant battery location
- Assess supply, switchboard and cable requirements
- Plan monitoring and network requirements
- Discuss expansion only within manufacturer limits
Be specific about backup
If backup matters, tell us which circuits and appliances you need. The system must be designed and configured for those loads, with any required switching or gateway equipment.
Available stored energy, output limits and the household load affect how long backup lasts. Whole-home backup is not an automatic feature of every battery installation.
Equipment, rebates and support
We support GoodWe ESA, Sigenergy and Sungrow, paired with compatible inverters from the same brand. Your quote identifies the proposed models and configuration.
An eligible installation may receive a federal battery discount. We assess the current requirements and show the amount in the quote. Savings depend on usage and operation; trading income is variable and should not be treated as guaranteed.

Good to know
Your questions, answered.
What size battery do I need?
We use your usage data and available solar surplus to assess useful capacity. There is no single size that suits every household.
Can I expand later?
Some configurations allow expansion, subject to the manufacturer’s current compatibility rules. Tell us early if that flexibility matters.
Will it work during a power cut?
Only if the system includes and is configured for the appropriate backup capability. Your quote should identify the supported circuits and operating limits.
Which warranty applies?
The quoted equipment has model-specific manufacturer terms. We explain these separately from installation workmanship cover and provide the relevant documentation.
