Start with the federal program
The Cheaper Home Batteries Program supports eligible battery installations through small-scale technology certificates. The benefit depends on the proposed equipment and when it is installed and certified.
The calculation changed in May 2026. Older advertisements and quotes may describe rules or savings that no longer apply.
Check other offers carefully
State, retailer and virtual power plant offers can have their own eligibility, participation and contract conditions. An offer is not automatically available simply because the battery is eligible for the federal program.

- Read retailer and VPP participation conditions
- Compare the final installed cost and ongoing charges
Get a quote you can compare
Look for the exact equipment models, usable storage capacity, installation inclusions and discount amount. Any switchboard work, backup circuits or additional hardware should be clear.
We explain the assumptions behind the proposed system so the rebate supports a useful installation, rather than driving you towards unnecessary capacity.

Can you check eligibility before I commit?

Can rebates and finance be used together?
Potentially. Rebate eligibility and finance approval are separate. Your lender confirms the loan amount, approval and terms.
Does a rebate guarantee a short payback?
No. Usage, tariffs, system cost, battery operation and maintenance all affect the result. Ask to see the assumptions in any estimate.
